Students complete simple pre and post assessments during the year to help teachers understand their learning progress, reading development, and readiness for the next level.

🌏 Youth Chinese Test (YCT)

The YCT (Youth Chinese Test) is an internationally recognised Mandarin exam designed for children and young learners. Herts Mandarin supports students in preparing for YCT Levels 1–4 through structured lessons, mock exams, and guided practice.

🎓 Edexcel GCSE Chinese (9–1)

Our GCSE Mandarin programme prepares students for the Edexcel GCSE Chinese (9–1) qualification, covering listening, speaking, reading, writing, translation, and exam skills with supportive and structured preparation.
