Herts Mandarin started with our Chinese community in 2023, and we are passionate about organizing community events that bring families together. We have successfully run over 20 events for families across Hertfordshire, with over 50 families attending. Children grow up playing and learning together, while parents chat in Mandarin, becoming good family friends. Many of our families also attend our Mandarin school together, and we are very proud of our vibrant community.

Our events are family-oriented, with shared responsibility among everyone involved. We currently organize three major events each year, plus several mini Chinese playdates. These events are open to all families and usually have a small fee of £10 per family to cover costs for the venue, arts and crafts, drama games, food resources, and more. We also ask each family to bring a nut-free dish to share, ensuring a wonderful family-style dinner together.
