After-School Mandarin Classes at Dame Alice Owen’s School
Herts Mandarin offers engaging after-school Mandarin classes every Wednesday at Dame Alice Owen’s School. Our small-group lessons help students build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Chinese while developing an understanding of Chinese culture. The programme also provides a strong foundation for future GCSE Chinese studies.
Class Timetable
4:10–5:10 pm | Beginner Mandarin
Starting September 2026
For Year 7 and Year 8 students at Dame Alice Owen’s School, and children aged 8+ from Potters Bar and the surrounding area who are beginners or have some previous Mandarin learning experience.
5:15–6:15 pm | Intermediate Mandarin
Started September 2025
For students with an existing foundation in Mandarin who are ready to further develop their language skills and prepare for GCSE Chinese in the coming years.
